We're recruiting new football coaches

Godmanchester Rovers Youth FC are currently recruiting new football coaches to help develop our players across all age ranges.

We are looking for both existing coaches (at least FA Level 1 qualified) and brand new coaches. We want you to get involved in helping us to inspire and develop our young players - while giving back to the game you love.

We run 19 teams ranging from our Mini Soccer School (aged 4 – 7 years), right through to U15’s level - so there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved. We provide you with the opportunity to qualify as an FA coach via the FA Coaching Pathway. This will give you the skills and knowledge you need to prepare you to coach football at the grassroots level.

Of course, you’ll be supported throughout by Godmanchester Rovers Youth FC. Your fellow coaches and the club committee will help you each step of the way - and will always be on hand to support and encourage you.

We are particularly interested in hearing from parents and family of our existing players, and previous youth footballers who’d like to take their first step on the coaching ladder; although these are not pre-requisites. More important is a genuine love for the game and a desire to help to inspire, develop and make a difference to the lives of young people.

We are an FA Chartered Community Club, with over 35 years of youth football experience since being founded in 1982. Our FA Charter Standard accreditation demonstrates we are a club who offer well-run and sustainable football. It provides confidence that we prioritise qualified coaching and safeguarding as well as the values of The FA’s Respect campaign as an integral part of our game.

So, what are you waiting for? If you want to find out more speak with your childs team manager. Alternatively, please contact the Club Secretary Julie Gee on cdclsecretary@gmail.com or 07703296708 for an informal discussion and more information.
